1. Who we are
This policy applies to TagVolt Agency Inc. ("TagVolt Agency", "we", "us"), a company incorporated in Alberta, Canada, located at 226 – 8525 106A Avenue NW, Edmonton, AB T5H 0K1. It explains how we handle personal information collected through our website, tagvolt.com, and in the course of our services.
We handle personal information in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy laws, including Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where it applies, the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
2. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you email us, book a free AI check, request our template or become a client, we receive the information you choose to share: usually your name, email address, phone number, organization name and the content of your messages.
Information collected automatically. Our website is hosted by Hostinger. Like most hosting providers, it keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages visited) for security and performance. Our fonts are hosted on our own server: your browser does not connect to Google or any other font service.
Your language choice. The website remembers whether you chose English or French by storing a small preference in your browser (local storage). This preference stays on your device and is not sent to us.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use advertising trackers or audience-measurement cookies on this website. Your browser only remembers your language choice (English or French), locally on your device.
3. How we use it
- to answer your questions and organize your free AI check;
- to send you the resources you request, such as our AI use policy template;
- to prepare proposals, deliver our services and send invoices;
- to keep our website secure and working properly;
- to meet our legal and accounting obligations.
We will only send you occasional tips, news or resources if you tick the box to agree to it. Every one of these emails includes a link to unsubscribe at any time. If you do not tick the box, we only send you the resource you requested and messages directly related to your request.
4. Client information in our projects
When we work with your organization, we may access information that you or your clients provide. We only use it to deliver the services you asked for, under the terms of our agreement with you. We ask for the minimum access needed, prefer anonymized or fictional data for training and testing, and set up automations on accounts that belong to your organization. We sign a confidentiality agreement on request.
5. Sharing with third parties
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run our business, such as our website host, email and office software, our email newsletter service, accounting tools and payment providers, and only to the extent needed. Some of these providers may store data outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to local laws. We may also disclose information if required by law.
6. Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above. Business and accounting records are kept for the period required by law, generally six years under Canadian tax rules. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.
7. Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information, including access limited to those who need it, strong passwords and two-factor authentication on our accounts. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you as required by law if a breach creates a real risk of significant harm.
8. Your rights
You may ask to access the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to certain uses, subject to legal limits. To do so, write to us at hello@tagvolt.com. We will reply within the time required by law. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.
9. Changes and contact
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page shows the latest version. For any question about this policy or your personal information, contact us:
